IDB President to Participate in Global Islamic Investment Gateway Event in Bahrain
Manama, Bahrain, KSA-03.02.2015- The President of Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali will participate in the first Global Islamic Investment Gateway (GIIG) event to be held on March 2nd and 3rd in Bahrain. More than 550 delegates from over 80 countries have registered to participate in the event.
The event is being held at the Gulf Hotel in Manama under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister and chairman of the EDB, and His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of Islamic Development Bank Group.
According to Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali, IDB President, “there is an increasing recognition of how the economies of Islamic nations can collectively drive future growth. This creates remarkable opportunities for all global investors which largely explains why demand for the GIIG event is so high.”
Keynote speakers include H.E. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Acting CEO of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, one of the event sponsors.

The event, which is co-sponsored by the IDB Group is linked with an innovative online portal developed by Thomson Reuters which will identify and collate new international investment opportunities.
