The Kingdom of Bahrain is the smallest Gulf State that occupies a land area of only 758 sq. km composed of 33 Islands linked by causeway to Saudi Arabia and separated from Qatar by a narrow strait. The population of Bahrain is around 1.5 million, where Bahraini population represents 46% while Non-Bahraini is 54% of the total (World Bank, 2017). The country is a constitutional monarchy with a bicameral Parliament consisting of House of elected Deputies and appointed Shura Council.

Manama, Bahrain, November 3, 2019: During the opening session of the 14th Annual Conference organized by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group H.E. Dr. Bandar Hajjar stated that “Islamic finance institutions should consider the untapped potential of Islamic Fintech and its likely role of catalyst to overcome current standardization challenges.”
