Kyrgyz Republic
Kyrgyz Republic joined the IsDB on 3 November 1993. Its share in subscribed capital is ID 25.8 million (0.05% of IsDB total subscribed capital). Kyrgyz Republic has paid ID 2.7 million, which is 10.5% of the country's payments to the IsDB subscribed capital. Kyrgyz Republic is a member of ICD and IRTI.
Kyrgyz Republic, a lower middle-income country located in Central Asia, is landlocked and mountainous with an area of 198,500 sq. km. It is bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the southwest and China to the east. It is rich in mineral resources mainly in coal, gold, uranium, and antimony. Its population is 6.3 million (2017), of which only one-third lives in urban areas.
