IDB Group CGO Indonesia, represented by the Country Program Manager and Human Development Specialist, conducted a supervision mission to Aceh Vocational Training Center (VTC) in Banda Aceh on 15 November 2017. Aceh VTC is one of the 11 VTCs across Indonesia supported by IDB on the provision of equipment and consultancy support. The consultancy support involves an expert on VTC Center, Consultancy firm to help improve the skills development of the VTC management and instructors and Consultancy firm to strengthen linkages between VTC and Industries. With these supports, it is expected that the VTCs will be equipped with advanced equipment, adequate program development for its management and instructors and stronger linkages between the VTCs with the surrounding Industries which benefit both the students and the companies. With IDB support, Aceh VTC has significantly increased the number of students from 3,000 people per year to 6,000 per year.
