In celebration of World Immunization Week, the IsDB held a Knowledge Sharing Seminar on May 13^th, 2019 to discuss the IsDB Global Value Chain for Vaccine. Biofarma Indonesia participated in the event and was represented by Mr. Rahman Roestan, the company’s CEO who presented the company’s successful journey over 92 years. Biofarma is a globally well-known pharmaceutical company specializing in the manufacturing of vaccines and sells its products to over 140 countries including OIC member countries.

Biofarma has currently contributed to the IsDB South-South Cooperation in terms of knowledge sharing with Morocco for vaccine production. Biofarma is also developing new prioritize products for IsDB member countries such as Typhoid, Meningitis, and Coronavirus to name a few.

Biofarma and Dakar Pasteur Institute are currently discussing a potential South-South Cooperation whereby Biofarma will transfer knowledge to Dakar Pasteur and also cooperate in manufacturing vaccines not only for Senegal but also for the North Africa region as well.
