IDB Group Holds Its 41st Annual Meeting in Jakarta

Jakarta - The IDB Group held its 41st Annual Meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia from 15 to 19 May 2016. The overall theme for the 41st Annual meeting was ‘Enhancing Growth and Poverty Alleviation through Infrastructure Development and Financial Inclusion’. H.E. the Vice President of Indonesia, Dr. Jusuf Kalla, inaugurated the meeting in the Opening Ceremony held on 17 May 2016

The IDB Group held its 41st Annual Meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia from 15 to 19 May 2016. The overall theme for the 41st Annual meeting was ‘Enhancing Growth and Poverty Alleviation through Infrastructure Development and Financial Inclusion’. H.E. the Vice President of Indonesia, Dr. Jusuf Kalla, inaugurated the meeting in the Opening Ceremony held on 17 May 2016. Government officials, private sector representatives and delegates from 56 member countries and one new member country, Guyana, as well as partner institutions and beneficiaries from all over the world taking part in the events.

IDB Group and Indonesia launched the Member Country Partnership Strategy 2016-2020 during the Opening Ceremony. H.E. the IDB President, Ahmad Mohamed Ali, and H.E. the Minister of National Development Planning, Government of Indonesia, Dr. Sofyan Djalil, officially launched the partnership strategy.

In addition to the meetings of the various Boards of Governors of the IDB Group, there are more than 30 side events in the form of conferences, seminars and workshops. They covered very pertinent topics such as Islamic Finance, Infrastructure, Financial Inclusion, Transport and Climate Change, Reverse Linkages and Private Sector Development.

A unique public expo area is open for public, showcasing the IDB Group and member countries success stories, innovation exhibitions, and a rare photo display of Islamic Manuscripts in addition to exhibition by a large number of Indonesian national companies and beneficiaries.
