On behalf of H.E. the President of IDB Group, Ahmad Mohamed Ali, the IDB Group Indonesia Country Gateway Office (CGO) Resident Representative, Ibrahim Ali Shoukry, delivered the keynote remarks in the opening of OJK (Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority) International Conference on Islamic Finance themed “Infrastructure Financing: The Unleashed Potential of Islamic Finance” in Jakarta on 12 November 2015. H.E. Muliaman D. Hadad, the Chairman of OJK opened the event and announced the publication of IDB Group-supported roadmap reports namely Roadmap of Indonesian Islamic Banking, Roadmap on Non-banking Islamic Institutions and Roadmap on Capital Markets, containing the orientations and key performance indicators of OJK to promote and expand Islamic Finance in Indonesia.

The conference aimed to discuss the potential of Islamic finance and to find ways to effectively unlock the potentials, especially with regards to infrastructure development, with approximately 500 participants representing public sector, private sector, scholars, researchers and development partners.
