H.E. Mr. Agus DW Martowardojo, the Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), received H.E. Dr. Azmi Omar, Director General of Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), IDB Group at Bank Indonesia premises on Wednesday, 28 September 2016. During the meeting, the Governor expressed his appreciation for the constructive cooperation between BI and IRTI. He also reiterated BI’s commitment to support IRTI’s activities in the area of development of Islamic finance.

The Director General of IRTI gave a brief on the latest developments in IDB Group including the election of the new President of IDB and the enhancement of IRTI’s mandates in the area of Islamic finance advisory services. A number of joint cooperation were discussed including the upcoming international workshop on Waqaf and the participation of Bank Indonesia in Reverse Linkage program.
