H.E. the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Dr. Mohammad Nasir, and IsDB Group Indonesia Resident Representative, Ibrahim Shoukry, witnessed the contract signing for civil works of IsDB-supported “Support to the Development of Higher Education Project” between the Ministry and the contractors.

The project is aimed at enhancing the access quality of national higher education system and is aligned with the Education Sector Strategy of the Government of Indonesia. It will improve the physical infrastructure by constructing new buildings, renovating and supporting the infrastructures such as roads, electricity connectivity, drainage, etc. It also supports the quality and relevance of the Higher Education institutions through activities such as curriculum development, acquisition of equipment, staff development, e-learning including digital libraries, procurement of books/journals and research development.

The beneficiaries of the project are the University of Tanjung Pura in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Lambung Mangkurat University in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, State University of Yogyakarta in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, State University of Surabaya in Surabaya, East Java, Sam Ratulangi University in Manado, North Sulawesi, State University of Gorontalo in Gorontalo and Syah Kuala University in Banda Aceh, Special Region of Aceh.
