Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 15 November 2022 - An IsDB Startup Workshop was organized during 14-15 November 2022 in the framework of the Sustainable Rural Development Project (UZB-1023) and Support to Development of Oncology Services Project, Phase II (UZB-1021) in Uzbekistan, targeting the officials from the Government of Uzbekistan to familiarize and increase their awareness on the Bank’s Procurement and Disbursement Policies and Procedures.

During the 2-day intensive workshop, over 20 participants from the ministries, and PMUs of the concerned IsDB projects actively participated. The IsDB specialists delivered several presentations on the Bank`s project cycle, procurement, and disbursement policies and procedures, introduced an electronic disbursement platform, as well as elaborated the project implementation arrangements with dedicated Q&A sessions. The workshop also provided an opportunity for the PMU staff to familiarize themselves with the most up-to-date guidelines and procedures of the Bank in project implementation.

IsDB will remain adaptive to the evolving needs of Uzbekistan in project implementation and continue supporting the capacity development initiatives assuring procurement activities are conducted in an efficient manner, and ultimately helping deliver the maximum benefits of Value For Money and Higher Quality to the Beneficiary.
