Selangor, Malaysia, 12 September 2025 – A delegation from the Islamic Development Bank’s (IsDB) Awqaf Investments Division concluded a three-day working visit to Malaysia from 9–11 September 2025 to review the physical and financial progress of ongoing projects co-financed by the Awqaf Properties Investment Fund (APIF).

The projects under review include the construction of nine Syariah Courthouses and the Selangor Syariah Judiciary Department building, with a total financing of US$24 million provided by IsDB in partnership with Amanah Raya Berhad since 2007.

The IsDB delegation was led by Dr. Mohamed Ali Chatti, Manager Awqaf Investments Division, accompanied by Mr. Hassan Mahfooz, Lead Awqaf Investment Specialist. The Kuala Lumpur Center of Excellence (KLCoE) also participated in the mission, represented by Mr. Johan Khalidi, providing coordination and support.

As part of the visit, the team inspected three Syariah Courthouses located in Shah Alam, Klang, and Gombak to assess their progress and implementation status. The delegation also held a productive meeting with Amanah Raya Berhad, led by its Managing Director, Mr. Mohd Iskandar Ramli. The discussions focused on reviewing the development milestones of the current projects and exploring new opportunities for potential collaboration and financing.
