- In Water and Sanitation sector, the Bank financing improved the irrigation systems and helped to decrease the water loss, increase the irrigation water availability, create employment and income generation opportunities and improve water resource and irrigation management. As a result, the irrigated land area was expanded from 6,450 Hectares to 9,894 Hectares.
- In the transport sector, the regional and national connectivity in the northern part of Afghanistan was improved, increasing public revenues, enhancing economic activities, and creating additional income and employment opportunities.
