Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 5 April 2025 - The President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), HE Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, will make an official visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria from 5 to 8 April 2025.

This strategic visit holds a particular significance as it comes ahead of the 2025 IsDB Group Annual Meetings, scheduled to be held in Algiers this coming May. Notably, Algeria will become the first country to host the Annual Meetings for a third time, having previously done so in 1990 and 2001.

During the visit, HE Dr. Al Jasser will hold high-level discussions with the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, HE Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune. He will also meet with the Minister of Finance and IsDB Governor for Algeria, HE Mr. Abdelkrim Bouzred, amongst other senior government officials.  

Underscoring the deep-rooted collaboration between IsDB and Algeria in advancing national development priorities, Dr. Al Jasser will also visit one of the key development and infrastructure projects co-financed by the Bank.
