Islamic Development Bank President to Attend 2025 World Bank and IMF Spring Meetings in Washington D.C.

Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 14 April 2025 –H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), will travel to Washington D.C. to engage in the 2025 Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), scheduled from 20 to 27 April 2025.

As the representative of IsDB, H.E. Dr. Al Jasser will participate in a series of high-level forums, including the G24 Ministerial Meeting, V20 Ministerial Dialogue, MENAP Finance Ministers’ meetings, the Development Committee session, and the Heads of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) meeting.

During this mission, he is expected to meet with international partners, bankers, and IsDB Governors, including the President of the World Bank, to discuss collaborative solutions for pressing global development challenges. Additionally, he will oversee the signing of financing agreements with the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan, aimed at promoting socio-economic development and sustainable economic growth.

The IsDB’s participation in the Spring Meetings underscores its commitment to being a Development Maximizer—mobilizing partnerships, championing climate action, and enhancing economic resilience across its 57 Member Countries.
