IsDB Group Chairman to Visit Brunei Darussalam for High-Level Development Talks
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 4 October 2026 – H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, will lead a high-level delegation on an official visit to Brunei Darussalam from 5 to 7 October 2026.
During the visit, H.E. Dr. Al Jasser will have a royal audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and meet with senior government officials.
Discussions will focus on strengthening the longstanding partnership between Brunei Darussalam and the IsDB Group and advancing cooperation in support of the country’s economic diversification and long-term development priorities.
A key milestone will be the launch of the first IsDB Group–Brunei Darussalam Country Engagement Framework for 2026–2028, which will provide a strategic platform to guide cooperation between the two sides.
The Framework will facilitate closer engagement in shared priority areas, drawing on the IsDB Group’s broader capabilities, knowledge and expertise.
The visit will also enable discussions on future cooperation aligned with Brunei Darussalam’s national development aspirations and on opportunities to deepen engagement with the IsDB Group.
