Istanbul, Turkey, 11 September 2019 – IsDB’s Climate Change (CC) Division and Economic Infrastructure (EI) Division in coordination with the Decentralization Facilitation Unit (DFU) and IsDB Group Regional Hub Turkey (RHTR) organized a major workshop in Istanbul for IsDB Infrastructure experts on “Climate Proofing of Transport and Energy Projects”.  

40 Operations Teams Leaders (OTLs), Project Management Specialists (PMS) and Global Sector Specialists concerned with IsDB Energy and Transport portfolio from all IsDB Group Regional Hubs attended the workshop conducted by the German Development Agency (GIZ) as part of an on-going technical cooperation program. The event focused on mainstreaming the process of climate risk assessment, adaptation and project resilience planning.

Agreement on strategic entry points, enhancing relevant professional capacity and raising awareness on resources, roles, requirements, and responsibilities were amongst other objectives of the workshop which also focused on discussions on Climate Resilience Implementation Framework, Adaptation Measures, as well as Resilient Infrastructure Projects and Monitoring Success.
