“Committed to Supporting Staff Development” - Dr. Hajjar at Kick-off Meeting of Leadership Development Program
Islamic Development Bank President (IsDB) President, Dr. Bandar Hajjar, inaugurated, Thursday, the meeting for the Leadership Development Program organized by the IsDB Administration Complex.
The overall objective of the program is to create and deliver a leadership curriculum that will develop and prepare leaders to be successful within the business (i.e. the “10-year Strategic Framework” and the “President’s 5-Year Plan” – P5P).
In his opening remarks, Dr. Hajjar underlined that developing leaders from various organizational levels is crucial to the continuity of IsDB's comprehensive vision in fulfilling its mandate towards Member Countries.
“It is a healthy practice for any organization to ensure its future growth, maximize efficiency, and achieve its goals. It is a win-win situation at both the organizational and employee levels” he said.
He then noted that over the last five years, IsDB has undergone a radical transformation, restructuring, and fine-tuning, making it necessary to re-examine leadership competencies to address these challenges, ensuring the achievement of strategic objectives with agility and adaptability.
“Our employees are the backbone of IsDB. Therefore, we are committed to supporting their personal and professional development throughout their career with the bank. We provide them with every possible tool to realize their leadership potential and develop the skills to bring out the best in them,” he added.
“I am pleased to inform you that we have partnered with Franklyn Covey to design, develop, and facilitate the delivery of this flagship program. This program's overall objective is to develop and deliver a leadership curriculum that will prepare successful leaders. To ensure the program's success, we look forward to a high degree of eagerness and self-motivation. I urge every delegate selected for the program to maximize this opportunity,” the IsDB President stated.
“All participants need to be aware of their strengths and areas for development and commit themselves wholeheartedly to the program,” he concluded.
