IDB Group Indonesia Resident Representative, Ibrahim Shoukry, attended and presented his remarks in the groundbreaking ceremony of construction work at the State University of Yogyakarta officiated by H.E. Minister of RTHE, Dr. Mohammad Nasir on 22 July 2017 in Yogyakarta. The activity is part of the "Support to the Development of Higher Education" project supported by IDB.

The project involves seven universities including the State University of Yogyakarta. It will improve the physical infrastructure of the six universities by constructing new buildings, renovating and supporting the infrastructures such as roads, electricity connectivity, drainage, etc. It also supports the quality and relevance of the Higher Education institutions through activities such as curriculum development, acquisition of equipment, staff development, e-learning including digital libraries, procurement of books/journals and research development.
