Jakarta, Indonesia, 27 October 2023 - The Islamic Development Bank Institute (IsDBI), represented by Acting Director General, Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem, and Senior Economist Dr. Hylmun Izhar, visited the IsDB Regional Hub Indonesia (RHI) on 27 October 2023 in JakartaThe visit was an opportunity for the IsDBI team to learn more about IsDB’s various interventions post-pandemic and the dynamics of implementing the bank’s programs in the country.

Dr. Al-Suwailem and Dr. Izhar were welcomed by Mr. Yerzhan Jalmukhanov, Officer in Charge at RHI, accompanied by Dr. Ali Fallahi, Country Economist, and Mr. Iqbal Reza Fazlurrahman, Project Management Specialist.

The Acting Director General expressed appreciation for the hard work of the RHI team to ensure upholding the good reputation of the IsDB Group among the key stakeholders in Indonesia, given Indonesia’s prominence and status as the third biggest shareholder of IsDB.

Mr. Jalmukhanov gave a brief on the latest developments of various activities and IsDB operations in Indonesia.  A number of ideas were also discussed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IsDB’s interventions in Indonesia.
