Bali, Indonesia, 14 September 2022 - The Resident Representative of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group represented the Bank at the G20 Labour and Employment Ministerial Meeting (LEMM), which was held on 14-15 September 2022 in Bali, Indonesia. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, and was chaired by H.E. Madame Ida Fauziyah, Indonesian Minister of Manpower.

The G20 LEMM theme this year is: Improving the Employment Conditions to Recover Together. The meeting consisted of five sessions: the first session discussed developments in the global labor market and reports from international organizations; the second session was dedicated to sharing of views by social partners and the G20 group and their commitment to responding to global issues to recover together and recover stronger; the third and fourth sessions were dedicated to the ministerial statements on EWG declarations and priorities. Finally, the fifth session aimed at the adoption of the Ministerial Declaration.

The G20-LEMM was attended by 20 Labor Ministers and Vice Ministers from G20 member countries in hybrid. In addition, the meeting was also attended by four observer countries, five countries that chair regional forums, 7 (seven) representatives of international organizations, and 5 (five) heads of G20 engagement groups (B20, Y20, W20, C20, and L20).
