In line with its strategic mandate to promote the Islamic Financial Industry, the IDB Group Indonesia Country Gateway Office organized a workshop on Islamic Finance on 20 – 21 January 2016 in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Jakarta. The objective of the workshop was to introduce and sensitize the participants on the fundamentals and principles of Islamic Finance, and familiarize them with the most common Islamic Financial product.

This two-day workshop was conducted by senior specialists and experts from the IDB Group including CGO Indonesia, Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Operations Policy, Financial Control and Legal specialists (IDB) and Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD). The workshop was attended by more than 100 participants from government agencies, ministries, financial institutions, State-owned Enterprises (SoEs), banks and private sector establishments. Based on the positive feedback and interest generated from this workshop, it is expected this type of training activity will become a regular capacity development initiative of the IDB Group to its stakeholders in Indonesia.
