Prince Mohamed Bin Fahd University (PMU)-KSA seeks cooperation with IsDB Group

A delegation from Prince Mohamed Bin Fahd University (PMU)-KSA visited the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) HQ to explore potential areas of collaboration. The delegation consisted of Dr. Muhammad bin Othman Alhuzaim, Vice President for Business Development and Mr. Mohammed bin Ayed Alhajry, General Supervisor of the President’s Office, Director of Government Affairs.

During the visit, the delegation met with different business units of the IsDB Group including the HQ Operations for the GCC & Yemen, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Division, the Direct Finance Division of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), the Awqaf Properties Investment Fund (APIF), the Reverse Linkage Division and the Scholarship Division of the Cooperation and Capacity Development Department (CCD), and the Education and Health Division of the Economic and Social Infrastructure Department (ESI).

The visit concluded with a general discussion on financing possibilities and avenues for future cooperation, reflecting the mutual commitment of PMU and IsDB to fostering impactful partnerships.

It is worth noting that PMU-KSA, established in 2006 in Al Khobar as a private non-profit institution, serves a diverse student body of over 5,500 across various disciplines, including engineering, business, law, and computer science. Recently, PMU has expanded its focus on medical education and research with the development of the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Medical Center. As part of its strategic growth, the university plans to establish a University Teaching Hospital alongside its Faculty of Medicine. To support this ambitious initiative, PMU is seeking financing for the University Teaching Hospital project.

This engagement highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing shared development goals and promoting innovation-driven growth.
