The round table, held on 30th September 2021 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, was chaired by H.E. Mr. Sardor Umurzakov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade, and IsDB Governor for the country who chaired the roundtable discussions and presented the newly established Strategic Development Agency and International Cooperation and Development Agency which aim to generate reform initiatives for improving the investment climate, increasing the investment attractiveness and competitiveness of the economy. 

Top country officials, senior representatives of the International Financial Institutions also attended the meeting which was moderated by the Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan, Mr. Suma Chakrabarti.

Vice President Dr. Mansur Muhtar expressed IsDB’s readiness to support operationalization of the Agencies through bank’s capacity sharing flagship program ‘Reverse Linkage’ to exchange experience and get expertise from other member countries, providing technical assistance (TA) to attract international consultants, considering secondment of staff at the agency, reviewing strategy and plans of the agencies, and providing financial package to finance Uzbekistan’s development plans.
