Baku, Azerbaijan, 12 November 2024 - The Republic of Uzbekistan President, H.E. Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a strategic bilateral meeting on Tuesday, 12 November 2024, with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) President and Group Chairman, H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, during COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The meeting aimed to strengthen the partnership and bilateral cooperation on major sustainable development areas.

President Dr. Al Jasser reaffirmed IsDB’s commitment to supporting Uzbekistan’s vision, and socio-economic development of the country and the discussions highlighted Uzbekistan’s economic aspirations and development goals.

Since Uzbekistan joined IsDB in 2003, the IsDB Group has pledged USD 4.15 billion, channeled into all critical public and private sectors. This commitment illustrates the longstanding partnership and promising prospects for cooperation.
