IsDB Holds Programing Workshop in Tashkent
Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, 27 May 2024 – A programming mission from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), has held a programming workshop in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, under the theme: “Islamic Development Bank: Bettering Lives, Delivering Impact”.
The mission was led by Mr. Ali Khan, Country Operations Manager at IsDB Regional Hub Almaty. The event was attended by the representatives of the relevant ministries and regulatory bodies from the Ministry of investment, Industry and Trade, IsDB Governor’s office, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Preschool and School Education, Ministry of Energy as well as other State Agencies.
The workshop saw the presentation of the IsDB Group Profile, IsDB MCPS for Uzbekistan and Focus Areas, Banks’s Portfolio and Lessons Learnt in Uzbekistan, Energy, Social and Rural Development and Agriculture Sectors Review, Central Asian Connectivity Initiative, IsDB’s Regional Integration Policy Framework as well as other IsDB Products.
The parties also had the opportunity to exchange opinions on the IsDB appraisal, approval, and project implementation processes and new directions of the bilateral cooperation, as well as discussions on the further steps for expanding the collaboration between IsDB and the country.
During the programming mission, the bilateral meetings with the Ministries, Agencies, and other stakeholders were held to agree on the list of potential projects for inclusion in the three-year IsDB Work Program and the Minutes of Meeting was signed to firm up the agreements reached with the Government during the programming mission.
