Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,11 July 2024 – A delegation from the Central Bank of Malaysia (BNM), led by Mdm. Siti Rosinah Attaullah, Deputy Director of Islamic Finance Department visited the IsDB Center of Excellence in Kuala Lumpur. The visit was welcomed by Mr. Samer Elesawi, Head of KLCoE.

During the visit, BNM expressed their appreciation to IsDB for their support and contribution as one of the strategic partners for successfully organizing the Global Forum on Islamic Economy and Finance (GFIEF) on 28-30 May 2024. Both parties also discussed the ongoing collaborations, particularly the Green Halal Business Initiative, which was announced in GFIEF by the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

In addition, BNM also proposed new areas of collaboration, among others ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting (AFMGM), Capacity Building for Uzbekistan Central Bank officials, and a Roundtable Discussion on Green Sukuk.
