The agreement was signed at IDB Headquarters in Jeddah by H.E. Dr. Amadou Boubacar Cisse Vice President of IDB and H.E. Abdul Karim Al Samar the Moroccan Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Mr. Yonus Kamal Mouamar, the CEO of Morocco's National Electricity Office, respectively.

The project aims at meeting the electricity needs of the country's growth by adding about 300 MW of additional power to the electricity generation system.
