The President of IDB Group meets with African Ambassadors in Riyadh
Jeddah,13.6.2010:H.E Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group will meet, Sunday evening, with the African countries’ Ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to elaborate on enhancing cooperation between the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and African member countries.
The IDB is a multilateral development institution composed of (56) member countries from four continents i.e., Asia, Africa, Europe and South America. The Bank is implementing a five year program for the development of African member countries to comply with the recommendations of the Islamic Extraordinary Summit held in 2005 in makkah, which called on the IDB for the designing and implementation of the program.
In such frequently organized meetings, IDB is soliciting views and proposals from concerned countries to foster its development interventions geared towards priority areas in these countries .
