Dr. Ali addressed the forum assuring the Bank's readiness to provide all means of help to member countries desiring to promote their banking systems in accordance with Islamic Shariah Law.

The Bank presented the forum, which is organized under the theme "The New Tools of Finance in Islamic Banking System" with two working papers on Hedging and Risk Management in Financial Institutions, and the IDB Experiment in Issuing Sukuk.

The visit of the Bank's delegation set to exchange expertise in Islamic modes of finance, monetary policy and hedging against risks in the light of Islamic Shariah rules.

In the sideline of the visit, the IDB delegation examined the Iranian experience in combating Malaria. in a bid to transfer the same to Africa through the Bank's Program of Roll-back Malaria in IDB member countries.

It is worth mentioning that IDB has allocated US$ 20 million for (2007- 2008) under a programme designed to roll back Malaria in IDB member countries as outlined in IDB 1440 H. (2020G) Vision.
