Prince Charles, IDB President Discuss Stronger Cooperation

29.10.2013, London, UK - The Prince of Wales, the first in-line to the throne in the United Kingdom, Prince Charles, held talks with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, to foster stronger cooperation between the Prince’s Trust (a leading charity organization supported by Prince Charles) and the IDB.

The discussion which took place at Clarence House, the official residence of Prince Charles, was held on the sidelines of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF), in London from 29-31 October 2013. The IDB President expressed his appreciation on the role being played by the United Kingdom in promoting Islamic finance.

The IDB President also held talks with the UK’s Secretary of State for International Development, Rt Hon,. Justine Greening who emphasized promoting cooperation between UK’s Department of International Development (DFID), and the IDB, particularly on women empowerment. The IDB President welcomed the initiative and assured IDB’s continued cooperation in this important initiative.
