31.12.2011, Jeddah, KSA - In a letter addressed to Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President, IDB Group, the Secretary General of the Libyan Red Crescent Abdul Hamid al-Mahdi al Madani commended IDB’s humanitarian assistance to the Libyan people in times of need during the past several months.
In the letter, Mr. Madani emphasized IDB’s support in the field of health and medical supplies. He also praised the cooperation of the IDB Libyan Executive Director in reaching the assistance to deserving areas in Benghazi, Misurata and Nefoussa.
Since the beginning of the developments in Libya, IDB sent in six delegations to supervise distribution of humanitarian assistance to the Libyan people in collaboration with the Libyan, Egyptian and Tunisian Red Crescent Societies.
