Jeddah, KSA, 17.04.2013 - Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Khidhir, Governor of the State of Khartoum, Sudan, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, IDB Group Chairman, on Tuesday, under which the Islamic Awqaf Authority of the State of Khartoum would cooperate with IDB in the areas identifying strategic waqf projects for investment, training, exchange of information and developing waqf projects beneficial to the State of Khartoum.

The IDB Group Chairman recalled four decades of consolidated relations between Sudan and the IDB and expressed willingness to upgrade ongoing cooperation with the Sudanese government. He also expressed appreciation for the hospitality provided by the Republic of Sudan during IDB’s 37th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors in Khartoum, 2012.
