Jeddah, KSA, 05.02.2013 –Japanese Ambassador to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, HE Jiro Kodera last week called on the Chairman of the IDB Group, Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, at the IDB Group headquarters in Jeddah and invited him to the International Conference on Palestine scheduled to take place in Tokyo during 13-14 February.
The IDB Group Chairman conveyed appreciation of the Bank to the government of Japan for this initiative and hoped that it would bear tangible results towards supporting socio-economic development of Palestine and underlined that the IDB Group attaches great significance to this cause.
The Japanese Ambassador expressed hope that the meeting would pave the way for sufficient resource mobilization to assist Palestine. He recalled that his country has already voiced readiness to cooperate with the IDB Group to implement relevant development projects and provide expertise to IDB member countries in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
