Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 29 January, 2017 - Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdurrahman Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadli, has discussed cooperation opportunities between his ministry and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group. He also reviewed with the President of the IsDB Group, Dr. Bandar Hajjar, and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry’s premises in Riyadh, on Sunday, the Bank’s experience in supporting agriculture and water supply in member
countries.
The Minister then attended a detailed presentation on IsDB Group’s activities and operations in the field of water and food security and touched upon KSA’s national strategy for food security which has achieved a great success underlining the role IsDB Group can play in replicating the successful Saudi experience in other member countries.
The President of the IsDB Group at the meeting expressed the Bank’s readiness to arrange exchange of expertise and knowledge between the Ministry and other member countries.
The meeting also reviewed the sustainable agricultural activities as well as the relevant economic, financial, and social investments.
