IDB Group Chairman Discusses Cooperation with ADB, Attends AGFUND Prize Ceremony

Jeddah, KSA, 04.03.2013 – Three winning institutions of the AGFUND International Prize for Pioneering Development Projects for 2012 were feted at a ceremony last week in Manila in the presence of the Deputy President of Philippines, HE Jejomar Binay, the President of the Arab Gulf Program for Development, HRH Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz and the Chairman, IDB Group, Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali.
The Prizes for 2012 in three categories in the field of Food Security for the Poor were won by: Gambia is Good (GiG), The Gambia, Development of Humane Action Foundation (DHAN), India, and the Village Food Resilience Program by the National Agency for food Security, Indonesia.
While in Manila, IDB Group Chairman called on the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and discussed ways and means for upgrading cooperation between the two sides, as well as coordination and exchange of expertise in the areas of infrastructural projects, Islamic finance, regional integration and knowledge management.
