The IDB delegation visit is a response to the invitation received from H.E. Dr Dawod Danch, Minister of Economic and Finance Affairs (Iran), to discuss the development of the monetary policy tools and risk management according to Shariah. IDB team includes professionals from the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Islamic Banking Office and other Technical departments from IDB.

The visit aim is to exchange expertise in Islamic modes of finance, monetary policy and heading against risks in the light of Islamic Shariah rules. The IDB delegation will attend the organized Forum on that issue on Wednesday 1/4/1428H (18/4/2007).

It is worth noting that IDB (www.isdb.org) aims at supporting the development in the IDB members countries. In addition, IDB provides support to the Islamic Financial industry in accordance to Islamic Shariah. The countries of the OIC established IDB in 1395H (1975), and the headquarters is in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
