The Islamic Development Bank Group and the Government of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire signed an agreement today regarding the modernization and expansion of the cargo terminal of the Felix Houphouet Boigny International Airport in Abidjan.

The USD 30 million development project agreement aims at restructuring the entire cargo area, reorganizing circuits and processing of cargo, improving the traffic of motor vehicles in the cargo area, acquisition of modern equipment and materials for the processing of cargo all taking into account the latest international safety security and customs control.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Achi Patrick Minister of Economic Infrastructure and IDB Governor for Cote d’Ivoire and Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, IDB Group President at the institution’s headquarters in Jeddah
