Health, Transport, and Education Pipeline in Focus at IsDB Group Chairman’s Meeting with BAPPENAS

Jakarta, Indonesia, 9 October 2026 – Advancing a pipeline of health, transport, and education projects was central to discussions between H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, and H.E. Rachmat Pambudy, Minister for National Development Planning and Head of BAPPENAS of the Republic of Indonesia.

The proposed pipeline is being developed under the IsDB Group’s 2026–2030 Member Country Partnership Strategy (MCPS) for the Republic of Indonesia, with an indicative financing envelope of approximately US$2.56 billion. H.E. Dr. Al Jasser welcomed BAPPENAS’s leadership in aligning the projects with national development priorities, noting that the MCPS provides an opportunity for larger, more integrated interventions and greater participation by the private sector and other IsDB Group entities.

The two sides reviewed the existing portfolio and discussed proposed operations, including the TITANS teaching hospital project, the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road, and education infrastructure at two state Islamic universities. H.E. Dr. Al Jasser reaffirmed IsDB’s readiness to provide targeted project-preparation support as these operations advance.

As a founding member of IsDB, the Republic of Indonesia has maintained a strong partnership with the Group for more than five decades. To date, the IsDB Group has approved approximately US$7.2 billion in financing for the Republic of Indonesia, while IsDB’s active portfolio comprises six projects totaling approximately US$1.6 billion.
