10.02.2014, Jeddah, KSA – As per of the distribution plan set by the Saudi Project for Utilization of Hajj Meat (Adahi) for the 2013 season, a consignment of 10,000 frozen carcasses arrived in Port Sudan, Sudan, on THursday, 6 February.

The meat will be distributed among the needy under the supervision of representatives of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) that has been operating this environment-friendly project since 1983. A representative of the Saudi Embassy in Sudan was also present at the port when the ship docked.

In the same framework, a consignment of 5,000 frozen carcasses arrived in Mali’s capital, Bamako, on Friday, 7 February, through land via the port of Dakar, Senegal.

These shipments are part of the ongoing Adahi project distribution plan of nearly 770,000 frozen carcasses inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in 23 other countries in Asia and Africa through land and sea since the past Hajj season 2013.

IDB Group Chairman, Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali renewed profound appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the support rendered to the project.
