Turkish Export Promotion Centre (IGEME) wsa declared as the winner of the 1430H Islamic Solidarity Prize for the Promotion of Trade among OIC Member States
The Prize, which provided by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), will be awarded to the winners during the Annual COMCEC Session in November 2009.

In a statement on this occasion, H.E. Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank congratulated the winner on its notable accomplishment. He commended it for the valuable contribution to the promotion of trade among OIC Member States.

IDB has established this Prize in the year 1428H with the aim to Recognize, appreciate and encourage the activities and efforts contributing to the promotion and increase of trade among member countries as well as Celebrate the outstanding success of individuals/institutions in the said activities.

The Selection Committee, chaired by H.E. Mr. Allal Rachdi the Director General of Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), Casablanca - Morocco was composed of eminent personalities and experts from outside the Bank. The Committee met at the IDB headquarters on Wednesday 12th Ramadan 1430H (2nd September 2009) and issued the following statement:

In view of its dedication as non-profit organization to promoting Turkey's success in international markets;
Considering its dynamic efforts to helping Turkish companies enter and succeed in exporting to the international marketplace;
Appreciating its functions as an intermediary for Turkish exporters and foreign importers to source for information on economic conditions, market prospects, exporters and regulations in Turkey;
Taking into account its active involvement in research & development, training, trade information, publicity & promotion and international relations;
Recognizing its positive impact on the promotion of local and intra-trade amongst Islamic countries;
Recognizing its active participation in various forums on promoting intra-trade among OIC member countries;
The Selection Committee unanimously decides to award the 1430H Islamic Solidarity Prize for the Promotion of Trade among OIC Member States to IGEME, Export Promotion Centre, Turkey.
