Ethiopian Prime Minister holds talks with Islamic Dev’t Bank Group President
Addis Ababa 12.1.2010 : Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said that his country desirous to work closely with Islamic Development Bank Group.
While holding talks with a delegation led by president of the Islamic Development Bank Group Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali here on Tuesday the premier said Ethiopia needs to work with IDB in the area of trade and investment sectors.
The premier said if member countries of the group invest in Ethiopia they would benefit as the conducive investment environment will pay off .
The Prime Minister expressed Ethiopia's desire to enhance the trade and investment relations with Saudi Arabia which has the lion’s share from bank .
The IDB president on his part said the cooperation with Ethiopia will benefit both parties. He added that the IDB and its member countries are desirous to work closely with the Ethiopian government, and expressed his belief that investors from member countries of the bank would be beneficiaries if they engage in investment activities in Ethiopia
