The Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group, in collaboration with Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distance (UNED), and Islamic Cultural Centre of Madrid intend to hold a conference on Ibn Khaldun. The objective of the conference is to create a better understanding of Islam and the contribution made by Spanish and Muslim scholars to the social sciences, particularly Economics. The conference would help improve relations between Spain and the Muslim World and create a better atmosphere for trade and economic cooperation.
