The Saudi Project for utilization of Hajj Meat, managed by the Islamic Development Bank, has introduced “Sadad” Service that facilitates the buying of Adahi vouchers during Hajj season through the use of Telephone Banking, ATM, and online which increased the sale of the bonds. This service is now available globally for Sadaqa throughout the year on www.adahi.org, while other rituals are accessible during the Hajj season only.
In addition to that, Adahi vouchers are also sold by the branches of Al-Rajhi Bank, Al-Amoudi Exchange, the Saudi Post Office, and Hajji and Mu’tamer Gift Charity . The Price of a voucher for this year Hajj will be SR410 (US$109, Euro83).
It is to be noted that the project objectives include the distribution of Adahi meat for the poor in Makkah and exporting excess quantities to the needy around the world, ensuring fulfillment of religious and health requirements of the animals, assuring environmental protection of the holy sites, and selling the offal and distributing its revenues among the poor in Makkah.
It is worth mentioning that the Project recruits around 40.000 supporting staff including Butchers, Supporting Labors, Veterinaries, Islamic Shari’ah Supervisors, and Administrators.
The Project has financed first factory for gelatin extract from the skin and bones of Adahi animals. A Chinese company is managing the factory which is located in the area of Moassim, Mina.
