The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development, ISFD, the flag bearer of IDB’s campaign against poverty in the Islamic world, in the 21st meeting of its Board of Directors in Jeddah approved financing of two important educational projects in Mauritania and Burkina Faso totaling USD 6.71 million. In line with the IDB Vision 1440H, the financing schemes focus on promoting and developing basic education aimed at boosting tangible efforts in eradication of poverty and pushing for sustainable development in the aforementioned countries. Since its establishment in the year 2005, ISFD has been constantly addressing poverty alleviation challenges in member countries.
