On Wednesday 12, January 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Uganda Hon. Gen. Odongo Jeje Abubakhar welcomed Dr. Issahaq Umar Iddrisu, the Regional Hub Manager and Head of Office for the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) in Kampala, Uganda.

During the ceremony, Dr. Issahaq Umar Iddrisu presented his letter of Credence and expressed his appreciation for the hospitality accorded to IsDB by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Country at large.

Dr. Issahaq emphasized the Bank’s commitment to human resource development as a key area of support aside from the many development projects in Uganda. He went on to share the Bank’s portfolio in Uganda which included investment in Energy, Transport and social infrastructural projects, Agriculture, Education, Micro finance support and Scholarship schemes.

The Minister commended IsDB on the existing excellent cordial bilateral relations with the Republic of Uganda and assured IsDB of the full support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in execution of the duties and wished him productive tours of duty.
