Invitation for Pre-qualification

 Reconstruction of the Soesdyke-Linden Highway (72.43Km)

This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in the Chronicle, Stabroek News, Guyana Times, Kaieteur News and Mirror Newspapers on October 09, 2022 and on the UNDB, DGmarket, and IsDB website.

The Government of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana has applied for financing from the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) toward the cost of the Reconstruction of the Soesdyke-Linden Highway, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for the Reconstruction of the Soesdyke-Linden Highway. The Work Services Group (WSG) of the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for the reconstruction of the existing 72.43km two-lane, single carriageway, rural arterial highway.  It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in September 2023.

Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods, Works and Related Services, April 2019 and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines.

Interested Eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Ministry of Public Works (Address 1 below) from 8:30am to 3:00pm. A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be uplifted by, interested Applicants on the submission of a written application or email to the Address 1 below.

Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the Address 2 below by 09:00 Hrs GYT (Guyana Time) [UTC/GMT – 4 hours] on December 07, 2022, and be clearly marked “Application to Prequalify for the Reconstruction of the Soesdyke-Linden Highway.”

Note:

All submissions must be in English and include three (3) hard copies [one (1) original and two (2) copies] and one (1) un-editable .pdf copy on a flash drive.
