The health and socio-economic impact of COVID-19 have been severe and prolonged, particularly on vulnerable groups that are hardest hit by the pandemic especially in health, educational and economic systems. Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) play a critical role in engaging citizens as a foundation for sustainable innovation to contain and mitigate the effects of the pandemic. They contribute to the immediate and medium-term efforts of the member countries (MCs) to prevent, contain and respond to negative impacts of COVID-19.
