Consultancy Services for Training of Farmers In the Production and Value Chain
The Government of Cameroon has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Grassfield Participatory and Integrated Rural Development Project (GP-IRDP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include Consultancy Services for Training of Farmers in the production and Value chain. Please refer to the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in IDB website and UNDB online on the 27/03/2017.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER) through Grassfield participatory and Integrated Rural Development Project (GP-IRDP), the Project Management Unit (PMU) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide specific information which demonstrate that they are fully qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Experience in the following area or tasks shall be the minimum requirement for the assignment:
Training of Farmers in the production and Value chain constraints for rice, oil palm, cassava, cocoa, maize, plantains, soybeans, beans etc. The services include:
- identify and classify the production and value chain constraints of these crop sectors as well as the farmers & groups of producers.
- analyse and propose all possible solutions to these constraints,
- sort out from the proposed solutions, those to be achieved through sensitization, and training or capacity building,
- report to the project the constraints and proposed solutions which cannot be realized using capacity building.
- Planning & Organization of training
- carry out the training activities for the various crop sectors and value chain aspects as per the training plan established.
Consultants may express interests in the forms of association, validated by an agreement among members of the association which clearly specifies the type of association, i.e. a joint-venture, intermediate forms of association, or sub consultancy.
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition) i.e Quality and Cost Based Selection among member countries (QCBS/MC) method
