GOVERNMENT OF ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT MINISTRY OF ELECTRICITY AND RENEWABLE ENERGY UPPER EGYPT ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION COMPANY ASSIUT SUPERCRITICAL POWER PLANT 1 X 650 MW STEAM POWER STATION 500 kV GAS INSULATED SWITCHYARD INVITATION FOR TENDER 1. Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), through the Government of Egypt, has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (hereinafter referred to as IDB) to finance the 500 kV Gas Insulated Switchyard package and other contract packages of Assiut Supercritical Power Plant Project, which will consist of one (1) Supercritical Steam Generator, one (1) 650 MW Steam Turbine Generator and two (2) Condensers. 2. Upper Egypt Electricity Production Company (UEEPC), a wholly owned subsidiary of EEHC hereinafter called "Owner", now invites sealed Tenders from international Tenderers for performing all works related to, including but not limited to, designing, engineering, fabricating, furnishing, delivering, receiving at site, unloading, storing, installing, startup, training, testing, commissioning, placing into successful operation and maintaining until issuance of Taking Over and Acceptance Certificate (TOAC) of all materials and equipment. The work includes all relevant civil works, electro-mechanical works and preparation of detailed drawings and other technical documents, for the 500 kV Gas Insulated Switchyard for Assiut Supercritical Power Plant. 3. All Tenders must be submitted in two sealed envelopes accompanied by a Tender Security of USD 450,000 in the form of a Bank Guarantee.
