This invitation for tenders follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. wb:op00014123 of March 22, 2012 2. The Government of Egypt has applied for a loan from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of South Helwan Supercritical Power Plant 3 X 650 MW, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for the supply and installation of 3 X 650 MW Steam Turbine Generators, Condensers, and Auxiliaries. 3. The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) through its affiliate company, Upper Egypt Electricity Production Company (UEEPC) now invites sealed tenders from eligible tenderers for designing, fabricating, furnishing, delivery to Site, storing, installing, training, testing, start-up, commissioning, placing into successful operation and maintaining until Taking Over and Acceptance Certificate (TOAC), preparing of detailed drawings and Technical documents, preparing as-built documents and putting into service of three 3 X 650 MW Steam Turbine Generators, Condensers and Auxiliaries. 4. Tendering will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank's Guidelines: "Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under IDB Financing", and is open to all tenderers from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines. 5.
